Who Can Avail?

Punjab government has defined eligibility criteria so that the benefits reach the right hands. Here’s what you need to know:

  • Tractor Ownership: The applicant has to be the owner of a tractor at least of 50 horsepower.
  • Land Ownership: The farmer should have agricultural land, with a limit of 25 acres in canal areas and 50 acres in rainfed areas.
  • Service Provision: The farmers or service providers must hire services for other farmers during the project period.
  • Restrictions on Applications: This scheme does not permit more than one application for one person
  • Time Procurement: Once allotment letter comes, all bookings are to be done within 10 days with approved firms, otherwise, the financial help will be cancelled.
  • Non-transferable: The machinery purchased should not be sold or transferred to any other person for the first four years.
  • Training Requirement: The applicant has to be trained for one day about operating and maintaining the machinery.

Documents Required for registration

For successful registration for subsidy, farmers have to prepare the following documents:

  • Land ownership
  • Registration/Transfer letter of Tractor (in case of applicable).
  • Photocopy of National Identity Card
  • An affidavit on Rs. 100 denomination paper
  • Kisan Card
  • Mobile number

How to Register

It’s pretty simple. Here are the step-by-step procedures on how to register:

  • Download your Registration Form: Obtain the form from the website of Punjab government.
  • Fill in Your Details: Fill in some pertinent information about yourself such as your name, ID card number, contact details, etc.
  • Submit Your Application: Proceed to the office of the Assistant Agricultural Engineer in the district. Do not forget to carry all the documents, affidavit, and stamp paper of Rs 300 with you.
  • Deadline for Applying: It should be noted that the last date for applications will be October 31, 2024. Applications submitted after this date will not be entertained. So, it is suggested to act in time.
