Distribution of Laptops Within 90 Days
In a groundbreaking move for the education sector of Punjab, Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has set a target to distribute laptops to students across the province within 90 days. This initiative is a part of the Chief Minister’s Laptop and Merit Scholarship Program, aimed at empowering students with the tools necessary for academic success and bridging the digital divide. By distributing the latest Core i7, 13th-generation laptops, this program will revolutionize how students access educational resources, enhancing learning opportunities in Punjab’s educational institutions.
A Comprehensive Plan to Distribute Laptops to Students
Under the Chief Minister’s Laptop Scheme, laptops will be provided to a diverse group of students, including 2,000 minority students and the top position holders in Matriculation and Intermediate (F.Sc) exams. Successful students will be given a special Guard of Honour, further highlighting the importance of academic excellence in Punjab.
In addition to these students, a significant number of others will benefit from the program. A total of 20,000 university students, 14,000 college students, 4,000 students from the industry and agriculture sectors, and 2,000 medical and dental students will also receive laptops. To ensure inclusivity, 32% of these recipients will be from Southern Punjab, addressing the need for technological access in less developed regions.https://hed.punjab.gov.pk/laptop-distribution
